Prototype
Integrating Web3 Collectibles into the Youtube Platform
I prototyped how Mojito's Web3 product offering can be integrated into Youtube’s existing platform,
allowing their creators to offer NFTs as collectibles that their audience can acquire and unlock follower
perks like gated access exclusive content and memberships.

All opinions presented are my own and does not reflect the views of Mojito.
Dashboard
Creator Studio: Token Dashboard
In Youtube's Creator Studio view, I added a Tokens dashboard that shows insights from their collectibles. I designed
a modular structure that fits with Youtube's visual language using card components that allow users to create a new token,
view a summary of most recent tokens, analytics, revenue, and activity along with a creation guide that can help onboard
creators into the Web3 space.
Discovery
Tokens vs NFTs?
The mention of NFTs in the platform was also explored. At the time, the term gained notoriety with the influx of tokens
that are mostly speculative with questionably limited utility.
We tested screens where the term “NFT” was used instead of Tokens and eventually decided on using “Tokens” to represent
items as the trading flow users will experience do not involve on-chain interactions (Web2 payments that don’t require
wallets and signing).

Token Use Cases
Token integration also allows for the opportunity to offer membership rewards on and off the Youtube platform. On platform,
a limited edition token can act as a membership wherein token holders can access exclusive content.
This component was designed to be similar to how Youtube integrates existing third party merch self where creators sell their
goods from external platforms.
This can also be further fine-tuned with on-chain data where, for example, those who have held tokens from the creator for a
certain period of time are given rewards for their support.
With a quick turn around time needed for a high fidelity prototype, it was important to determine which screens would make the most
impact when shown amongst stakeholders. UI wise, I decided to follow a flow where screens focusing a particular creator is shown.
