Prototype
Memberships and Rewards Programs that Leverage the Blockchain
I prototyped how Mojito can integrate into AMEX's existing membership and rewards platform, showcasing how POAPs
(Proof of Attendance Protocol) and Collectibles can help with offering immutable, unlockable opportunities tied to
live, tangible experiences.

Task
Integration Prototyping
Before starting the high-fidelity prototype, I had to do a quick visual design research on AMEX’s existing visual
language. This task required a quick turnaround time before it is shared with key stakeholders of both Mojito and AMEX
so there was little time to wait for editable files.
Story
Welcome to the LIZZOVERSE!
Creating a story within the prototype’s flow helps with making a compelling presentation among stakeholders. For this prototype,
we thought of using a Proof of Attendance (POAP) Collectible Claimable flow from a user who recently attended a Lizzo Concert.
In AMEX website’s Rewards and Benefits section, the user will see a banner with a call to action that links them to a page where
they can collect their free claimable.
“Creating a story within the prototype’s flow helps with making a compelling presentation among stakeholders.”
Claim Flow
What separates this experience from typical Web3 claimables is that the user does not need to directly interact with the
blockchain (no wallet and gas payments needed)
All the user needs to do is to agree with Terms & Conditions to be able to claim the POAP for free, which will be stored
in their built in Web3 wallet integrated into AMEX’s site.
The flow was designed to be seamless and patterned to a Web2 claiming experience, easily onboarding the business’ audience
into the Web3 space and unlocking a multitude of future membership and rewards use cases using on chain data.
Result
Future Proofing Rewards and Memberships Programs
As the technology continues to improve, more possible use cases can be applied by businesses such as AMEX to continue
to engage with their audience.
Tokens such as POAPs and Redeemables not only make their end-users feel rewarded, but it also provides the business with
immutable ownership information that they can easily integrate into their future programs such as limited access events,
and ticketing.
